Bereavement Support Groups
The journey through grief can be long and difficult. Losing a loved one can impact a person physically, emotionally, psychologically, intellectually, socially, spiritually and financially. Our Grief and Bereavement Program supports family members and loved ones through the first year of loss. Our grief counselors work with bereaved individuals to help them cope with their loss and begin to heal. We also provide grief and bereavement support groups to help participants share their experiences and understand that they are not alone. There is no charge for this service; we are here to help.

Celebration of Life
Each year, Visiting Nurse & Hospice of Fairfield County honors the patients and families it has served with an ecumenical Celebration of Life memorial service.
The Celebration of Life includes poetry, readings, acts of remembrance and music as well as a candle-lighting ceremony conducted by our team of nurses, therapists, counselors and caregivers..
